YOUR GUIDE TO PAYING WITH CRYPTOCURRENCIES

The thought of paying and using cryptocurrencies can feel daunting, but it can be really simple!

Cryptocurrencies are digital currencies (electronic money), its essential money and rates vary between different coins. Most cryptocurrencies networks are not backed by any single bank or authority, like GBP, USD etc and other FIAT currencies, and it’s fully decentralized, so no one company or person owns it. It can be used worldwide by anyone with a computer/smartphone with online access.

Bitcoins are the first example and most popular of a “cryptocurrency”, a well-known growing new category of money, but we also accept many others such as LiteCoin, Ethereum, DASH and others. There are a plenty of good articles in relations to cryptocurrencies and we have outlined some examples below to help you.

So 101… Why use cryptocurrency over direct credit/debit card and bank transfer which we have been use to in the past?

  • Low Fees: Fees for sending money via the cryptocurrencies networks are nominal in comparison to other payment vendors such as Western Union, MoneyGram and credit card processing. Currently BitCoin (XBT) network fees are considerably high and we advise using an alternative payment option such as LiteCoin or Ethereum.

  •  DecentralizedBitcoin, LiteCoin and Ethereum along with most other cryptocurrencies are not backed by any single (or group) bank or country. It’s decentralized. There is no authority to block a transaction, like credit/debit card or Western Union payments which we had previously used. Cryptocurrencies are safe, using this payment method we can continue to provide you with our service, safely and securely.

  •  365 days a year and 24 hours a day: Cryptocurrencies payments are always available.

  •  Speed: It requires significantly less time for payment confirmation and no additional charges or card security issues. We would need 2-3 days to process and confirm your Western Union or MoneyGram payments, but just 10-20 minutes for most cryptocurrencies payments. This means we can ship your order and faster than before.

  •  Safety: It’s anonymous. Any payment can be completed from multiple accounts, a single wallet can have as many as you want receiving address and a different one for sending funds. Account verification/validation might be mandatory for cryptocurrencies exchanges, places where you can buy the coins, but you don’t need to do this for your personal wallet or wallets.

  • No personal information: When sending a payment we do not require any personal information, bank account details or credit/debit card information. Unlike the previous methods where these details would had been needed.

So, what is the first step?

You need to create a BitCoin, LiteCoin or Ethereum wallet depending on your payment preference, think of this as a standard wallet, where you keep money and credit/debit cards!

There is a link here (https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet)  which explains in more details about creating a BitCoin wallet and what is available, but we will keep it pretty simple and give a basic example below:

www.GreenAddress.it is an excellent mobile platform wallet for Android and iOS. In addition you can use it directly from your browser if needed. The two-factor authentication is always required which adds some extra bonuses to your wallet’s security.

www.jaxx.io/ is another excellent wallet, this is available on desktop computer/laptop and both IOS and Android platforms. Jaxx supports BitCoin, LiteCoin, Ethereum, BitCoin Cash and many others.

Some cryptocurrencies such as www.coinbase.com have intergrated wallets which are stored online in your account, you can fund directly into these.

Explain more…

When you get your wallet, you will have an address(es), this is where you will ask your coins to be sent to when you purchase online. When you order from us, you will receive an address to SEND to, you proceed to your wallet, input our address and the amount and click send! We receive the payment and send out your order!

OK 101… So how can I get these “Cryptocurrency coins” quickly?

There are loads of places to buy, you can use a “compare the market” type search at https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/ just input your country and payment methods and it will show and compare various websites.

I have a wallet, and I have bought some cryptocurrency, now how to send?

Cryptocurrencies use long numbered addresses for sending and receiving funds (inside your wallet you can have multiple addresses if you like). From here its very easy, similar to PayPal, which uses an email address. A BitCoin (XBT) address would look similar to this:

EXAMPLE: 132ZcJ8PfyDKyccGmjYQHH88HNbqL7mZuW

Don’t worry, you do not have to memorize it! As mentioned above, you can have an unlimited number of payments addresses in your wallet. Try to follow a simple rule: one payment, one address. Every time when you’ll hit the Receive button in your wallet, a new receiving address will be generated, or you’ll find there an option to generate them manually.

If you need any assistance or help please just email us and we will be more than happy to guide you through the process, once you have initially setup a wallet, it will be smooth sailing from then on-wards!
